Kick-off meeting of the project “Migration and Higher Education – Building Skills and Capacity”
On 16-18 Tbilisi State University hosted the kick-off meeting of the project “Migration and Higher Education – Building Skills and Capacity”.
The meeting brought together representatives of project partners Tbilisi State University (leading applicant), Georgian Institute of Public Affairs, Khazar University of Azerbaijan, Qafqaz University, Yerevan State University, Russian-Armenia University, University of Graz, Free University Brussels, University of Alicante, University of Oldenburg and World University Service from Austria.
The participants elaborated the plan of future activities and tasks were respectively distributed. The project aims at developing, accrediting and implementing a basic curriculum for a Master Program in Migration Studies in line with the Bologna requirements at 6 universities in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. It also targets to establish the national Migration Competence Centers at the selected universities and a Regional Research Network. The project is funded by European Commission TEMPUS project.Archive
