National Training Session on “E-learning: Methodological, Pedagogical and Technological Issues” Yerevan State University, 5-9 November, 2012

The National Training Session on “E-learning: Methodological, Pedagogical and Technological Issues” at Migration Competence Centre, Faculty of Sociology, Yerevan State University, Yerevan, Armenia has been held on November 5-9, 2012. The training objectives were to develope methodological, pedagogical and technological skills necessary for designing and implementing an online course. The training was led by Dr. Liberat Ntibashirakandi, the Pedagogical Advisor, Center for Educational Technology, Université Libre de Bruxelles) and Ms. Aida Sargsyan, the Head of Department of Computer Services and Automatization of Library, Yerevan State University. 
 


The National Training Session on “E-learning: Methodological, Pedagogical and Technological Issues” at Migration Competence Centre, Faculty of Sociology, Yerevan State University, Yerevan, Armenia has been held on November 5-9, 2012. The training objectives were to develope methodological, pedagogical and technological skills necessary for designing and implementing an online course. The training was led by Dr. Liberat Ntibashirakandi, the Pedagogical Advisor, Center for Educational Technology, Université Libre de Bruxelles) and Ms. Aida Sargsyan, the Head of Department of Computer Services and Automatization of Library, Yerevan State University.
The specific objectives of national training session were: 1) acquire the basic vocabulary related to e-Learning; 2) assessing the quality of an online course; 3) use an instructional design method in order to design an online course; 4) develop an online course using the “Moodle” and “Greenstone” e-library; 5) identify the various roles of an online tutor. The pedagogical approach defined as “Learning by doing” is based on learning activities and interactions between participants.
The training was attended by teachers and MCC staff members  of Yerevan State University and Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University.
